Cookies
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that are stored on the user’s device when they visit a website.
They are used so that the website can function properly, remember certain user settings, analyse how the website is used and, with the user’s prior consent, enable additional analytics or marketing functionality.
How Ventoria uses cookies
The website www.ventoria.hr uses necessary cookies, without which it cannot work properly, and – only with the user’s consent – analytics cookies from Google Analytics 4. Functional and marketing cookies are not currently used; if this changes, this page will be updated and such cookies will only be activated with the user’s consent.
Cookies that are not necessary for the basic functioning of the website are not set before the user gives the appropriate consent.
Necessary cookies
Necessary cookies are required for the basic functioning of the website and cannot be switched off through the consent management system.
Such cookies may be required for security, saving the user’s privacy settings, the operation of forms or other basic technical functions.
The website uses the following necessary cookies:
- ventoria_session – visit session: form security and basic operation of the website; deleted when the browser is closed,
- cc_cookie – remembers the user’s choice in the cookie management banner (the accepted categories and the time of the choice); lasts 6 months, after which the banner is shown again.
Local storage in the browser
In addition to cookies, the website uses the browser’s local storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) for functions that the user initiates themselves: the list of products added to the enquiry list, saved products and the temporarily saved content of a form until the user submits it.
The following entries are used for this:
- ventoria:inquiry and ventoria:favorites (localStorage) – the enquiry list and saved products,
- ventoria:inquiry-form, ventoria:contact-form and ventoria:inquiry-sent (sessionStorage) – temporarily saved form content and the confirmation of a sent enquiry.
This data is stored only on the user’s device, is sent to Ventoria only when the user sends an enquiry or a message, and is necessary for these functions to work, so no consent is required for it. The enquiry list is deleted after an enquiry has been sent successfully, temporary form content is deleted when the browser tab is closed, and the user can delete all of this data in the browser settings (by clearing the website data).
Functional cookies
Functional cookies enable additional website features and can remember user settings in order to improve the user experience.
If such cookies are used, they are activated only when there is an appropriate legal basis or the user’s consent for this.
Analytics cookies
Analytics cookies help Ventoria understand how users use the website, which pages they visit and how they reach the content.
Data collected through analytics tools may be used to improve the website’s functionality, content and user experience.
Analytics cookies must not be activated before the user has given consent, unless a solution is used that does not require such consent under the applicable regulations.
For this purpose, Ventoria uses Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). The tool is loaded only after the user accepts analytics cookies in the banner. Data is collected in aggregated form (pages visited, source of the visit, type of device and browser, approximate location); Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses, and Google signals and ad personalisation are disabled.
Google Analytics sets the following cookies:
- _ga – distinguishes visitors in the visit statistics; lasts 2 years,
- _ga_* (_ga_ is followed by the measurement ID) – remembers the session state; lasts 2 years.
Google may also process data in the United States of America; Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Data collected by Google Analytics is retained for a maximum of 14 months. If the user withdraws consent, the _ga cookies are deleted and Google Analytics is no longer loaded.
Marketing cookies
Marketing cookies may be used to measure the effectiveness of advertising and to show more relevant ads on external platforms.
If Ventoria uses tools such as Meta Pixel, Google Ads or similar services, they are activated only after the user consents to the relevant cookie category.
Third-party cookies
Certain website features may use the services of external providers that set their own cookies.
Such providers may process data in accordance with their own privacy policies, and Ventoria will use such services only with appropriate technical and legal safeguards.
Google reCAPTCHA. If Google reCAPTCHA protection (Google Ireland Limited) is enabled on the contact form, it is loaded only on the Contact page in order to protect the form against automated and unwanted messages. In doing so, Google may set the _GRECAPTCHA cookie (lasts 6 months) and process technical data about the device and browser, including the IP address. This protection is necessary for the security of the form, so it is not switched on through the banner; the processing is based on Ventoria’s legitimate interest in preventing misuse of the form.
YouTube video. If a YouTube video is published on the homepage, it is loaded only when the user plays it, in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Once playback starts, YouTube (Google) may store on the user’s device the data required to play the video.
Managing consent
On the first visit to the website, the user is shown a cookie management banner.
The user can accept all cookies, reject cookies that are not necessary, or open the settings and manage individual categories separately.
The user can change the previously selected settings at any time via the Cookie settings link in the website footer.
Withdrawing consent
At any time, the user can withdraw consent to the use of cookies that are not necessary.
Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
After the settings have been changed, certain previously set cookies may remain stored on the device until they expire or are deleted manually through the browser settings.
Browser settings
The user can also manage cookies through the settings of their web browser, including blocking or deleting existing cookies.
Disabling certain cookies may affect the availability or proper functioning of some parts of the website.
Changes to the cookie policy
Ventoria may update this page from time to time to bring it into line with changes in the website’s functionality, the tools used or the applicable regulations.
The updated version will be available on this website.
This cookie policy applies from 8 October 2026.
